LASER CUTTER

As i mentioned before i wanted to try new things so had an induction in the laser cutter and used a drawing from the previous project to experiment. really like the abstract shapes created and how detailed it can be just not quite sure what u want to use it for??

LOST PROPERTY

We have a name! Finally the class has decided on a name! I have been attending all the group meetings for the exhibition and suggested a name for the show "LOST PROPERTY" and it's stuck the class seem happy with it so we're running with it. I just thought it would be appropriate as it is being held in a shopping centre and our work will be out out of place, lost within the shops. the work will not be conforming to the typical view that art belongs in galleries. Not only that trying to think of a name that would cover each 44 pieces of work that did not directly relate was proving difficult, and personally i feel a bit lost some times in direction. so for what ever peoples personal reasons we agreed everyone could relate to this. It's really happening now.

PLAY TIME.

I know I look miserable in this photo but It was really funny doing this - took me back to being a kid and playing with paint I want to keep this feeling of playful experimentation when exploring new methods. I have became very aware of how little time I have left at art college and want to use it's resources to the full whilst I have the opportunity. I intend to attempt new methods of working in this new project in the hope of learning something new.

PROJECT PROGRESS

I have set up a Facebook group as a starting point, asking people to donate me the pictures of there beds. I think that your bed could say a lot about the sort of person you are and i am interested to see what people are going to show me considering how private (or not ) beds can be.

NEW IDEA SAME CONCEPT!

I really liked some of the stills that I got from the film. One image revealing another, almost as though one is reality and the other fantasy. It has become my inspiration for my new piece I have decided to focus this new project on beds, dreams and the sleeping subconscious. Trying to concentrate on the mixing of reality and fantasy that occurs during sleep. I feel that this concept of layering could work well in conveying the meaning to my work.

DON'T NO WERE YOU'RE GOING TILL YOU SEE WERE YOU'VE BEEN!

I've recently finished a piece of work that I really enjoyed and have decided that I want to continue with a similar theme. The film above was the piece that I created, it was inspired by daily routine. Also I have become increasingly interested in the unconscious mind and body language and tried to capture this in my daily routine through the method of film.
